We've been AI-first since December 2023: You'll personally map business processes, build and test AI-powered automations, and monitor and refine them in daily use. You remain accountable for output accuracy, reliable execution, exception handling, and measurable improvements in quality and turnaround time.

The Opportunity
You'll design, test and deploy AI-enabled workflows for Puffy.com, a $1Billion+ e-commerce brand. Reporting to Mars Bai, you'll work across business teams to turn their needs into practical, connected workflows and checked outputs. This is a hands-on role in which you personally deliver core outputs primarily through AI, retain professional judgment and validation, and help teams use the results independently.
The Problems You'll Own
Primary: Less effort, dependable results
The challenge is turning business requests into AI-enabled work that produces useful results consistently. Less manual effort is only a gain if quality holds when real inputs and exceptions arrive. The problem you own is making that improvement repeatable, with clear inputs, reliable outputs and checks that protect quality.
Secondary: Workflows that outlast the handoff
A solution has limited value if its users depend on its creator to keep it running. The supporting challenge is making workflows understandable, maintainable and usable by the teams they serve, without constant technical support.
Who You'll Work With
Meet the team you'd be working with, and what you'd work on together:
What You'll Own
What you'll own
Map the work. Establish the required outcome, inputs, decisions, handoffs and current quality and human-effort baseline. Use AI to draft workflow specifications, then validate them with the people doing the work.
Build and test. Personally produce AI instructions, workflow configurations and reusable components. Test real inputs and exceptions, check accuracy and usefulness, and refine the workflow before deployment.
Connect systems reliably. Configure information flows between business tools and AI. Validate mappings and outputs, handle permissions carefully and retain appropriate human review before consequential actions.
Improve performance. Evaluate output quality, total human effort, elapsed turnaround, model and tool costs, reliability and maintenance needs. Use evidence to simplify work and correct failure patterns.
Enable adoption. Use AI to produce clear operating instructions, guides and knowledge resources, then verify them with users. Train teams, support troubleshooting and maintain reusable solutions.
Outcomes, quality standards and pace:
Deliver usable workflows and checked outputs, not demonstrations alone. Good work is accurate, useful on real inputs, repeatable, understandable to its users and maintained after handoff.
Contribute early and work with fast turnaround on agreed priorities, without bypassing checks. Make quality, review effort, rework and handoff effort visible; measure elapsed turnaround separately. Own defects and improvements through resolution rather than passing an unverified AI output to the next team.
Resources provided:
You’ll have access to our latest company-provided AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, multiple AI agents, bots, plugins, AI projects, and automations through platforms such as n8n. You’ll also receive the department tools, relevant data, assets and specialist support needed to deliver your work. We expect you to use these resources to automate routine work and deliver high-quality results quickly.
What You Bring
What you must demonstrate:
Relevant experience. 2–3 years of experience in workflow automation, process optimization, operations or similar work involving systematic problem-solving. Logical reasoning and proven delivery matter more than job titles.
Hands-on AI delivery. Experience designing and delivering multi-step workflows using AI tools and workflow platforms, including practical application to business work.
Sound judgment and validation. Ability to translate a business problem into a clear workflow, test real inputs and judge whether the output is accurate, useful and repeatable. Strong logical reasoning is essential; coding experience is not required.
Curiosity and communication. Curiosity about AI, judgment about where new capabilities are useful, and clear communication and documentation skills for training and supporting business teams.
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Additional advantages:
Experience using workflow automation platforms, such as n8n, to connect applications and automate multi-step processes.
Experience diagnosing issues in automated workflows; basic understanding of APIs and webhooks; ability to explain workflows with simple diagrams or flowcharts.
WEEK 1
— Land well
Get access to approved AI tools, workflow platforms and the business systems needed for your initial work. Complete Asana training and work through your role-specific AI-Native Starter Pack: workflow instructions, permitted data use, access boundaries and output-validation checks. Meet Mars, Rooban, Madhav and the teams you will support.
WEEK 2
— Get the full picture
Review current workflows with the people who use them, including where outputs fail or require manual correction. Map the inputs, decisions, handoffs and human checks for an agreed priority. Establish a baseline for quality, total human effort and elapsed turnaround, then agree the scope and acceptance criteria with Mars.
WEEK 3
— Start contributing
Build and test your first scoped workflow improvement, working with Rooban on implementation and Madhav on requirements and acceptance checks. Use representative inputs and exceptions, review the outputs with users, and refine the workflow. Bring your test evidence, unresolved risks and draft operating guide to a review with Mars.
WEEK 4
— Your first ship
Put your first workflow improvement into use after the required checks and approval. Train its users, hand over a clear operating guide and confirm who monitors it and handles exceptions. Share an initial comparison with the baseline, distinguish early results from sustained gains, and recommend the next improvement.

Hi there,
If you're reading this, you're probably asking whether Puffy is the right place for your next chapter. I founded Puffy in 2017 after a simple question: "What would it feel like to sleep on a cloud?" That question became a business, and I wanted to build a company where ambitious people could grow with us.
That same mindset is why we became AI-first in December 2023, well before it became a standard way of working. We move quickly, stay relentless and hungry, question the usual way of doing things, and give people real ownership. We believe a focused team can outperform much larger companies. What matters here is the quality of your work, the decisions you make, the problems you solve before anyone asks, and the impact you create.
If you join us, I'll expect a lot from you, and I'll make sure you have the trust, context, and support to do meaningful work. If that kind of challenge excites you, I'd be glad to have you build Puffy with us.
Looking forward to working with you,
ArthurA

Why do I have to take an online test if I have the relevant skills and experience?
After a successful application review, we invite selected candidates to our online skills test. It's a consistent, structured way for you to demonstrate your skills, assessed against the same criteria as every other candidate. It’s also a great way for you to see if our work is the right fit for your ambition. Candidates who pass the assessment move to Phase 2, the case study challenge.
Is there an expiry date for the online test? When do you expect me to complete the online assessment?
The invitation link for the online test only expires once the position is filled. However, our hiring process moves quickly, so we highly recommend you complete it as soon as you can.
Please note these important details:
Session Time: Once started, the test has a 4-hour inactivity timer before it auto-submits your answers.
Returning Candidates: If you applied for this same role within the last 6 months, our system may use your previous assessment score. In this case, you may be taken directly to a confirmation page.
Top Tip: The invitation email may go to your spam or junk folder, so please check there if you haven't received it.
If you still encounter any issues, please reach out to us at careers@puffy.com.
