The Opportunity
You'll own Puffy's experimentation program across a $1B+ e-commerce platform — from spotting where customers drop off, to proposing what to test next, to telling the business exactly what worked and why. If you spend your days running A/B tests, analyzing conversion funnels, and writing your own SQL and Python to get answers, this role is built for you. You pull data from Shopify, GA4, Google Ads, and BigQuery yourself. You design the test, run the statistical analysis, and deliver a recommendation clear enough that marketing, UX, and development can act on it the same week. General analysts and program managers without hands-on technical and experimentation skills won't be a fit.

What You'll Own
Turn experiments into decisions
Analyze A/B tests end to end to determine what worked, what did not and why, then deliver decision-ready recommendations rather than metrics readouts.
Contribute to a structured hypothesis pipeline: prioritize by impact, write clear test briefs, and define success criteria and sample sizes upfront so results can be called cleanly.
Collaborate with Marketing, UX and Development to translate findings into site changes, campaign adjustments and creative decisions.
Find where the funnel leaks
Map user journeys across devices and traffic sources to pinpoint friction, drop-offs and conversion leaks, turning them into prioritized, testable hypotheses.
Join paid traffic back to Google Ads and Meta data so acquisition spend stays visible all the way through to conversion.
Work directly in SQL and Python against raw event data, not pre-built dashboards, digging into performance by segment, device, source and journey step to uncover the non-obvious drivers that top-line reporting misses.
Own your data and AI workflows
Build and maintain your own data pipelines across Shopify, GA4, Google Ads and BigQuery, without waiting on another team to get the data you need.
Orchestrate agentic AI workflows to accelerate analysis, directing, validating and scaling your analytical output.
What You Bring
What you must demonstrate
3+ years in data analysis, experimentation, or CRO within e-commerce, D2C, or any high-traffic transactional website (fintech, marketplaces, SaaS, banking).
Strong SQL - complex joins, window functions, CTEs across large datasets without relying on pre-built dashboards.
Working Python (or R) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
Proven A/B testing experience - hypothesis design through statistical analysis to business recommendation; solid grasp of sample sizing, significance thresholds, and common pitfalls.
Hands-on GA4 experience - event-based tracking, custom explorations, and the ability to tie GA4 data to other sources.
Experience integrating ad platform data (Google Ads, Meta) with site analytics to see the full acquisition-to-conversion funnel.
Ability to independently connect to and pull from multiple data sources (APIs, warehouses, flat files) without engineering support.
Sharp analytical communication - complex findings distilled into concise recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive and curious - you spot testing opportunities and chase root causes before anyone asks.
Additional advantages
Experience with BigQuery or AWS data warehousing, including scheduled queries and data modeling.
Familiarity with session replay and heatmap tools (FullStory, Hotjar) for qualitative behavioral analysis.
Background in Looker, Tableau, or similar dashboarding tools.

Account and full data-stack access set up — Shopify, GA4, Google Ads, BigQuery. Asana training, and your role-specific AI-Native Starter Pack: the agentic workflows, the validation step and where the human check sits. You meet your manager, team and cross-functional departments properly.
WEEK 2
— Get the full picture
Deep dives into the experimentation programme, the numbers and the existing data layer. You read past tests, including the ones that didn't win, and walk the customer journey end to end.
WEEK 3
— Start contributing
You pick up your first analysis alongside the team, read a live test, and bring your first hypotheses into test planning.
WEEK 4
— Your first ship
You propose your first test off your own analysis, and share your early read on the data layer and where you'd take it.

Why do I have to take an online test if I have the relevant skills and experience?
After a successful application review, we invite selected candidates to our online skills test. It's a consistent, structured way for you to demonstrate your skills, assessed against the same criteria as every other candidate. It’s also a great way for you to see if our work is the right fit for your ambition. Candidates who pass the assessment move to Phase 2, the case study challenge.
Is there an expiry date for the online test? When do you expect me to complete the online assessment?
The invitation link for the online test only expires once the position is filled. However, our hiring process moves quickly, so we highly recommend you complete it as soon as you can.
