Overview
We're seeking an experienced partnership strategist to lead our publisher and affiliate business development efforts, driving significant revenue growth through premium editorial placements and strategic affiliate relationships. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will be instrumental in expanding our network of high-value publishing partners and optimizing program performance to support Puffy's position as a top 5 US mattress brand.
This is a revenue-accountability role requiring hands-on experience building and scaling performance-driven partnerships with tier-1 publishers, content sites, and affiliate networks in the consumer products space.
Compensation: Competitive salary range of USD $100k - $130K per annum based on experience and qualifications, with opportunity for up to 30% additional target based performance bonus, making your expected total compensation USD $165K+ per annum. This transparent range represents our full compensation spectrum, with specific offers determined by relevant experience and demonstrated expertise.
What You'll Achieve
Partnership Development & Growth
Establish, strengthen, and maintain relationships with premium publisher partners—overseeing negotiations, conflict resolution, and performance optimization strategies
Identify and activate new partnership opportunities across tier-1 publishers (Forbes, CNET, Sleep Foundation, Wirecutter/NYT), specialized review sites, and affiliate networks
Build strategic relationships that drive high-quality traffic and improve conversion rates within the D2C e-commerce landscape
Performance & Revenue Optimization
Structure partnership deals with clear performance metrics, attribution models, and ROI targets
Continuously test, evaluate, and refine partner campaigns; track KPIs (EPC, ROAS, conversion rates) and provide actionable insights for immediate and long-term improvements
Ensure all partnerships maintain minimum 3:1 ROAS constraint while maximizing revenue generation
Budget & Forecasting
Manage partnership investment budgets, forecast results, and allocate spend to maximize profitability
Develop business cases for upfront partnership investments with clear projection analysis demonstrating ROI
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with creative, marketing, and product teams to develop, test, and iterate on promotional materials
Ensure brand consistency across all partnership channels while optimizing for performance
Collaborate with analytics teams to develop attribution frameworks and performance dashboards
Industry Leadership
Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in publisher partnerships and affiliate marketing
Maintain competitive awareness of partnership strategies in the D2C mattress and sleep products landscape
Ideal Profile
Core Requirements:
5+ years of business development or partnership management experience in B2C/D2C e-commerce (any vertical - consumer products, home goods, electronics, health & wellness, etc.)
Proven track record recruiting and activating publisher partnerships with measurable revenue outcomes
Experience with premium publishers: Demonstrated success securing editorial placements or partnerships with tier-1 publishers (Forbes, CNET, major review sites, or equivalent authority publications)
Performance marketing mindset: Deep understanding of performance metrics (EPC, ROAS, CPA), attribution models, and data-driven optimization
Technical Capabilities:
Proficiency in affiliate tracking and partnership management platforms (Impact, Partnerize, or similar)
Experience with competitive intelligence tools (BrandVerity, Similarweb, Ahrefs, or Visual Ping)
Strong analytical skills with ability to build financial models and ROI projections
Comfortable working with attribution frameworks and multi-touch conversion analysis
Partnership Excellence:
Exceptional negotiation skills with track record of structuring win-win partnership terms
Strong relationship management across diverse partner types (editorial teams, affiliate managers, content creators)
Ability to balance strategic, high-touch partnerships with scalable program growth
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Operational Excellence:
Entrepreneurial approach: self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making data-driven decisions with incomplete information
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple partnership tracks simultaneously

Background running or optimizing paid acquisition campaigns
Startup or scale-up experience: comfortable with lean operations and rapid pivots
International partnership experience: coordinating with global partners and tailoring programs to diverse markets
Publisher/editorial background: understanding of content creation cycles, editorial calendars, and newsroom dynamics

Why do I have to take an online test if I have the relevant skills and experience?
After a successful application review, we invite selected candidates to our online skills test. It's the most fair and objective way for you to demonstrate your skills, free from unconscious bias. It’s also a great way for you to see if our work is the right fit for your ambition. Success on the test guarantees you move to Phase 2.
Is there an expiry for the online test? When do you expect me to complete the online assessment?
The invitation link for the online test only expires once the position is filled. However, our hiring process moves quickly, so we highly recommend you complete it as soon as you can.

Session Time: Once started, the test has a 4-hour inactivity timer before it automatically submits.

Dubai Hub (On-site): Our Dubai office is our hub for deep, in-person collaboration. All roles here are on-site to help our teams move fast and innovate together.
USA Team (Primarily In-Office): Most of our US roles are based in our Los Angeles hub. For a select few strategic positions, we offer remote work to attract the world's best expert for the job.
