The Opportunity
Puffy is one of America's fastest-growing e-commerce retailers and a Top 5 Mattress Brand in the USA with over $1 Billion USD in sales. Since entering the bed-in-a-box market in 2017, we have experienced consistent year-on-year growth, driven by a mission to make optimal sleep health a priority for all. We are now expanding our retail footprint and seeking experienced sales professionals to develop untapped markets across the Midwest & Mid-Atlantic regions.

Retail Field & Acquisition Manager
Your field counterpart
He runs the same acquisition motion in the field, so account targeting gets reconciled between you before either of you approaches a retailer. What is landing in his accounts reaches you as pitch input while you are still working your list, not after the visit.
What You'll Own
Win new retail business
Prospect and develop retail bedding business across your target regions, establishing new accounts for Puffy mattresses and accessories.
Generate new retail accounts using prospecting methods of your choosing, including in-person and remote engagement.
Grow and support your territory
Provide account support across pricing, assortment direction, sales training, shipping and warranty resolution.
Align account priorities and growth objectives with Puffy's retail leadership, working with the Director of Retail and Retail General Manager.
Represent Puffy at relevant industry trade shows where they support account development and territory growth.
What You Bring
What you must demonstrate
Proven experience selling to mattress retailers with established relationships across smaller and larger bedding retailers.
Strong drive to exceed targets.
Demonstrated consultative selling capabilities.
Competency in Microsoft Excel.

Existing relationships with retailers in the Midwest or Mid-Atlantic regions
Experience representing complementary product lines (accessories, adjustable bases)

You map the accounts worth going after and align with the Director of Retail on priorities. Deep dive on the competitive set and where Puffy wins on a retail floor.

You're in front of buyers, with pricing and assortment answers coming back while you're still in the room.

Your pipeline is real and support is set up behind the accounts you've opened.

We’d love to see how you put your skills and experience into practice. Through role-based questions and a technical case study, you can show us how you think and solve problems while getting a feel for the work at Puffy. We use consistent criteria for candidates applying to the same role, giving you a fair opportunity to demonstrate your strengths.
Is there an expiry date for the online test? When do you expect me to complete the online assessment?
The invitation link for the online test only expires once the position is filled. However, our hiring process moves quickly, so we highly recommend you complete it as soon as you can.

Session Time: Once started, the test has a 4-hour inactivity timer before it auto-submits your answers.
