Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Manager/Forklift Driver to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of materials and supplies for our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Move freight or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.

• Inspecting incoming shipments for damage or shortages and communicating with the supervisor to rectify any issues

• Preparing materials for shipping, including pulling and staging and completing necessary documentation

• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and organize stock

• Participating in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks

• Maintaining a positive work atmosphere and fostering good relationships with employees, co-workers, and managers while achieving performance standards

• Reviewing product pull or following oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved

• Counting and recording the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production pull.

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required skills/experience:

• At least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse setting.

• A high school diploma (or equivalent)

• Certification to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment.

• The physical ability to perform vigorous, strenuous work and lift up to 40 pounds frequently

• Previous experience operating stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts, specifically Bendi/Flexi trucks (pivot steer/articulating) using electric and/or propane

• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and best practices.

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.

• Experience with warehouse management software and inventory systems.

• Knowledge of safety standards and protocols.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are a plus.

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs).

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs) as needed.

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on warehouse conditions.
